Death of my romance . . .
Romance in this poem is romance for life and not a woman (I wanted to be clear on that part).
Death of my romance
No rosy path i see,
but one padded with embers.
I crawl unaware on to the path.
Abandoned by the north star,
dammed in the darkness,
empty and void, i travel.
Dissemination on the desert,
reaps no gain.
Rising sun brings promise,
but none to me.
Clenched in the reaper's hands,i see it,
hope.
Wicked is life,
kind is death.
I call upon thy question mark.
Blank.
Dark ocean of arcane matrix,
without a compass or burning candel,i sink.
Gaze on to the glass,
a breathing corpse,
Brused by philosophy,tormented by logic,
the unkind mind, pricks to content.
Exhausted, it falls, strangled by life.
Death of my romance.
Must see movie!
Seriously people, why do I always post things after 12? Anyways I saw a Telugu movie recently with my sister. The picture is a poster for the movie in case your wondering.
Normally I don’t like Telugu movies cause the quality is horrible and my comprehension of Telugu (even though its my native) is fairly poor. The only reason I went there was cause my sister forced me to (she has already seen the movie thrice). I saw the movie on Tuesday but I was feeling very lazy to write.
The name of the movie is Bommarillu, doll house in English. This is the first Telugu movie that I saw in a theater and I must admit that this is the first Telugu movie that I actually liked. The movie is very well taken and if you happen to understand Telugu then this is a must see. The movie deals with common urban Indian family problems that are due to things like generation gap, cultural confusion or the whole issue of east meets west parental child relationship, etc. The movie does an exemplary job of presenting these topics. I am not going to get into the details of the movie and its plot. I will rather tell u my experience of watching the movie.
The father is a character that maybe familiar to you. He loves his family and children and wants only the best for them. His greatest happiness is to see them happy and settled. The only problem is that he assumes that he knows what’s best for his children and tends to behave like a dictator. His son respects his father a lot and therefore becomes submissive. His dad selects simple things like his clothes and makes decisions for his son as he thinks he is doing the right thing. His son begins to feel suffocated but continues to keep his opinion to himself. I am sure there are a lot of people who have dads like this or at least knows somebody who does. The more I spent time analyzing the character and comparing him to other dads I began to realize how lucky I am to have my parents. My parents are not at all controlling. They give me ample freedom and are there when I need them. I love them so much. I don’t know what would have happened to me if my parents were like that. I have heard a lot of stories about parents forcing their kids to take up a particular course or a subject for their studies. Their have been instances of parents forcing their kids to take up science (an obsession in India) even though they wanted to study commerce or arts. They movie is not about education but these were my thoughts and I wanted to share them with you.
I won’t be doing justice to the movie if I tell you the story therefore I urge you to watch the movie for yourselves. I know language is a barrier but if u can watch the movie with subtitles then go right ahead. It’s an amazing family movie so anybody of any age can watch it. I felt a connection with this movie and I hope you do too.
Once again I LOVE YOU MOM and DAD
I know they won’t be reading this :-)
My Exams are finally over!
Tomorrow is the 125 years college anniversary celebrations. I have volunteered (why I did such a thing I myself don't know) to help so I am now part of the breakfast committee. So I will be serving breakfast to everyone on a Sunday morning. Ladies and gentlemen my life has officially hit rock bottom. Today there was a volunteers meeting and after that we had to help in the arranging of chairs. My friend from another college came to visit me and Mikhail (my friend) and me pulled him along and forced him to help us with the arranging. The poor lad had to do manual labor in somebody else's college. Today was fun but tiring. I am really sleepy now so thats all from me today.
Happy Birthday Buddy!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK! I hope you have a wonderful year ahead of you buddy!
My exams are still going on, as you already know (if u read my previous post that is). Yesterday I finished economics. My worse subject so the paper was not easy but I guess it could have been worse. I know I sound like an optimist who is always looking at the bright side things but believe me I am not but as of now I am just happy its over. The next exam is on the 9th, after that I can relax because my next and incidentally the last is on the 11th, its Additional English. Which is relatively easy when compared to my other subjects so a little study is enough.
I wonder how Mark’s day will turn out when he wakes up. I know how my day will be and it isn’t going fun. I will be alone in this boring room of mine studying for my next exam. I can’t wait for this rubbish to end. I am really sleepy and tired now so I will hit the sack.
Good nigh and good morning to all :-)
Hi Everyone!
Its about 12am right now and a new day has just begun . I have two reasons for this entry,
- Today, the 3rd of November, is my sister’s birthday so, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS! I wish she has an amazing year ahead. I wanted to share something today with u my readers. I am actually the only child in my family. I met her a year ago and now we have become so close. We have a festival in India called Raksah Bandhan where in the girl ties a Rakhi (a holy tread) around the wrist of her brother or adopted brother (as in my case) . I am an atheist so the ‘holy tread’ has no religious significance to me but it does have a lot of sentimental and metaphoric significance. I want to thank her today for being there whenever I needed her and also for adopting me as her brother. I always wanted a sibling and she has pretty much filled that need by showing me the meaning of sisterly love. Thanks sis! At present she has her tests going on but today will be the last. On the other hand just as she gets her freedom , my finals are going to start tomorrow. I won’t be able to meet her until the 11th
:-( - now on to the second reason, yesterday evening, a few hours back actually, my friend’s dog littered. Four beautiful pups, three black and 1 brown are the new members of my friends family. Both the mother and the father are cross breeds, they look a lot like labs though. I can’t wait to see them but unfortunately as you already know my finals are commencing tomorrow so I can see them only after the 11th. I will post some pics as soon as I get them from my friend.
Anyways its now nearing 1:00am and I am really sleepy, can’t wait for the 11th :-)
Hey People!
My very first entry in my new blog! I am quiet new to blogging. Well not exactly new either. I actually had a blog on tagworld.com but I forgot my password and lost access a few months back. I can already imagine you readers laughing your heads off but I assure you it’s not going to happen this time (hopefully).
If you happen to be viewing my blog then I guess you are a friend that received an sms from me. If that’s the case then thank you very much and please keep visiting this page from time to time. If you are not a friend then you have accidentally stumbled upon this blog. Please do come back intentionally sometime. I will try to update this blog regularly. I am pretty lazy and that may prove to be a bit of a challenge for me. I will try my best to keep this page ‘tolerable’. Please feel free to leave any comments, suggestions etc.
